Hai Duong handles more than 700 "alcoholics" in the first month of peak implementation

Traffic police forces across the province have increased patrols, control, and strictly handled violations of traffic order and safety.

Carrying out the peak of attacking, suppressing crime, ensuring security and order for the 2024 Lunar New Year, from December 15, 2023 to January 15, 2024, the traffic police force in the whole province handled 2,682 cases, fined more than 8 billion VND; revoked driving licenses of 927 cases, and detained 1,257 vehicles.

Of these, 727 cases were handled for alcohol concentration violations, with fines of more than VND3.4 billion; 565 cases of speeding, with fines of more than VND1.5 billion; 53 cases of overloading, with fines of nearly VND362 million.

To ensure traffic order and safety during the peak period of the Lunar New Year, the traffic police force in the whole province continues to strengthen and mobilize maximum forces, vehicles, and equipment to patrol, control, and strictly handle violations of order and traffic safety on roads, railways, and waterways; focus on handling violations that are direct causes of traffic accidents and traffic jams; prevent illegal racing, gatherings that disturb public order; violations when crossing the road; unregistered, uninspected vehicles, and vehicles that do not ensure technical safety; promptly prevent and strictly handle vehicles carrying more people than prescribed...
