Since its inauguration in September 2022, the China-ASEAN Specialty Products Exhibition Center (CAMEX) has been home to thousands of high-quality specialty products from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries, including Vietnam and China.
The Center's activities contribute to realizing the goal of supporting "China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) to be open 365 days a year without a break."
CAMEX consists of 17 themed exhibition booths, including 10 booths themed on ASEAN countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam) and one regional booth (Guangxi, China).
There is also a special pavilion (World Halal Trade Center) and themed pavilions for other Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) countries such as Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.
The live product display booths at CAMEX exploit classic elements such as unique architectural landscapes and cultural customs of the countries, while introducing many unique products of the countries in a vivid experience.
Not only promoting international economic and trade cooperation and exchanges, the exhibition center also provides corresponding support services for domestic and foreign customers, such as translation, business registration, investment and financial services, resource connection, talent training, brand operation, etc., to attract more domestic and foreign enterprises to invest and start up in Guangxi, or penetrate into other provinces of China through Guangxi.
Mr. Truong Dich Van - General Director of International Market of CAMEX said that since its official operation, this center has attracted more than 5,500 typical domestic and foreign products, and has planned and organized about 300 live and online events by theme.
In addition, CAMEX also attracts many delegations of government and domestic and foreign enterprises to visit, survey, and negotiate business, thereby enhancing cooperation in fields such as economics, trade, etc.
Along with the direct product display, CAMEX also built an online platform to promote transactions and sales. The most popular products on this online platform include Vietnamese tea and coffee; Malaysian durian, Indonesian kopi luwak coffee, Singaporean Bak Kut Teh sausage, Thai sauce, Myanmar beer... All products are very popular with consumers.
Mr. Truong Dich Van added that there are currently many Vietnamese products on display and introduced here. Vietnam has many high-quality goods, but previously they were not widely known to many Chinese consumers and importers.
CAMEX is both a focal point to help promote Vietnamese goods in the Chinese market, connecting businesses of the two countries to seek business cooperation opportunities, and also providing consulting and support services related to opening the market for goods to enter the Chinese market, helping businesses reduce the pressure of market research and focus on business.
In addition to the goal of becoming the first stop for ASEAN enterprises to penetrate the Chinese market and an important “window” for Chinese enterprises to expand their overseas markets, CAMEX also plays an important role in promoting exchanges and cooperation between China and countries in the region in many fields such as economics, trade, culture, humanities, education , finance, youth, and tourism.
