Accordingly, the 2025 National Volleyball Championship attracts 8 men's teams including Border Guard Club, Sanest Khanh Hoa, The Cong Tan Cang, Da Nang, Ninh Binh, Hanoi, Long An, Ho Chi Minh City Police and 8 women's teams VTV Binh Dien Long An, Duc Giang Chemicals, Ninh Binh, Geleximco Thai Binh , Information Corps, Industrial and Commercial Bank, Ho Chi Minh City, Thanh Hoa. 2 teams (1 men's team, 1 women's team) less than last year's tournament and 4 teams (2 men's, 2 women's) less than the 2023 season. This is a turning point for Vietnamese volleyball on the path to building an increasingly professional and attractive tournament.

Mr. Le Tri Truong - General Secretary of VFV hopes that the 2025 National Volleyball Championship will be successful as expected, gradually moving towards professionalism.

The 2025 National Volleyball Championship continues to compete in a single round-robin format, divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 (5 rounds) takes place from March 22 to 31 in Hanoi, phase 2 and the final round takes place from October 10 to 19 in Ninh Binh . Experts expect the tournament to move towards playing in a home and away format to increase the attractiveness as well as serve the needs of fans and the spirit of the flag instead of competing in a concentrated location as it is now. However, in the current context, the plan proposed by VFV is considered appropriate.

Good news for the teams when VFV has a new sponsor, so the prize level is still attractive with the total prize value of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship being 2 billion 280 million VND. In which, each champion team of men and women will receive 500 million VND. The second place team will receive 300 million VND, the third place team will receive 200 million VND, and the fourth place team will receive 100 million VND.

The 2025 National Volleyball Championship is also the basis for the coaching staff of the Vietnamese men's and women's volleyball teams to select outstanding faces to represent Vietnam in international tournaments, focusing on the 33rd SEA Games in December in Thailand. VTV Binh Dien Long An is the reigning women's champion with the return of Tran Thi Thanh Thuy while the high-performing hitter Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen promises to help Ninh Binh Club "fly high". In the men's tournament, the runner-up Sanest Khanh Hoa is still strong, so the reigning champion Bien Phong is still the number 1 candidate.
