Tu Lan consists of 8 caves, the Tu Lan cave system is quite low, interwoven with many streams and rivers that seem endless, winding mysteriously between the majestic rocky mountains of the Truong Son range. To explore Tu Lan, visitors have many options: 2-day, 3-day and 4-day tours. If you are new to trekking, you should choose a 2-day tour, visiting 4 caves in the Tu Lan cave system, including: Tu Lan cave, Ken cave, Kim cave and Hung Ton cave.

Tan Hoa ethnic minority village is nestled in the middle of the mountains and forests, the starting point for the journey to Tu Lan land. What you see is a grassland stretching to the foot of the mountain, herds of cows leisurely grazing. Walk along the grassland, cross Rao Nan river. From here you start climbing 30m of hilly road, jagged rocky mountains, then move down the 100m long slope to reach Hung Ton valley, stopping for lunch at the cave entrance of the same name.

Exploring Tu Lan is not just about walking, you also have to swim, climb, swing, experience exciting adventures yourself to explore each cave with stone steps and immense primeval flora.

To get to the entire Tu Lan cave system, you have to climb over the limestone mountains to get to the top of the caves, then go to the cave entrances that can be entered. The cave system is formed by underground water, so there are sections that you have to swim into.

Then to Ken cave, the campsite is located right in front of the cave entrance. From the entrance to the walking area, you have to swim a short distance in the cave, under the cool, clear water. Inside, following the limestone shore to enter the dry cave, the whole group will feel like they are lost in a stone maze and immersed in layers of stalactites created by the wonders of nature. Then the waterfall spraying white foam will surely satisfy your feelings in this unimaginable scene.

After Ken Cave, the next day the group continued to explore the remaining 3 caves. The route was still through the forest to the cave entrance, swimming into the cave to explore, passing through steep and slippery cliffs several times, in the last cave you had to climb an iron ladder nearly 60 steps high. Each cave has its own interesting points, but when standing in the heart of the cave dozens of meters high, nestled in a maze of limestone, stalactites, sand and water; the only feeling that remained was overwhelming - overwhelming because of the majestic nature.

The final stop of the Tu Lan cave system is a large, dry cave. There are two large, adjacent cave entrances with light shining in, allowing one to observe the stalactite system of various shapes. The result of millions of years of geological movements are round pebbles, black stone slabs with artistic patterns, iridescent stalactites or sparkling stalactite columns.

Many experienced backpackers share that the journey to Tu Lan requires perseverance. Therefore, those who have conquered Tu Lan cave deserve to be praised because they have taken the risk to enjoy a wonderful destination.
