The establishment of models not only helps to gather members and women but also contributes to creating an environment for cadres, members and women to share and help each other improve their capacity; at the same time, contributing to promoting digital transformation in the community.
The first digital models
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh, Chairwoman of the Long Hung Ward Women's Union, said: The Ward Women's Union always identifies propaganda work, raising awareness, and equipping digital skills for members and women as important tasks. At the same time, responding to the Digital Literacy Movement launched by the Provincial Women's Union, the Ward Women's Union selected Ward 5 to establish the first Digital Women's Club model of the ward.
According to Ms. Hanh, the club members basically have digital knowledge and skills, so after its establishment, the club has the task of guiding members and women in the neighborhood to use online public services and make cashless payments; disseminate knowledge on ensuring safety in cyberspace, and preventing high-tech fraud. In addition, it supports members and women in starting businesses, doing online business, promoting OCOP products on social networks and e-commerce platforms. At the same time, it increases the sharing of official information on social networks...
“In addition to replicating the Digital Women's Club model, we plan to establish a Digital Branch model and a 1+1 Tour Guide model in some other neighborhoods in the area,” said Ms. Hanh.
As a unit selected by the Provincial Women's Union as a pilot model for the Digital Family, a few days ago, the Women's Union of Trang Dai Ward launched the Digital Family model with 12 members in Ong Huong neighborhood. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Van, Deputy Executive Board of the Digital Family model of the neighborhood shared: The requirements for members participating in the model are to have a good understanding of digital knowledge and skills; actively promote and guide relatives in the family and surrounding member families to know how to use technology devices, use digital applications, participate in community pages, contributing to improving people's knowledge.
Ms. Van added: She herself knows how to use smartphones, social networks and digital applications. However, in the context of the current strong digital transformation, she feels that what she knows is too little. Therefore, she always tries to learn more online and from people around her.
Although not selected as a pilot, the Women's Union of Hung Phuoc commune is one of the leading units in establishing the 1+1 Digital Guide model to help members and women access technology faster, know how to exploit social networks, online applications to serve learning, production and business. Implementing this model, each cadre and member who is proficient in technology will guide at least one other member to know how to use and exploit digital utilities to serve life, work and union activities.
Help each other improve digital capacity
Not only gathering members and women with knowledge and skills in digital transformation, the models are also an environment for officials, members and women to help each other improve their digital capacity.
Taking advantage of the time when the children were taking a nap, teachers at Hoang Oanh 3 Kindergarten, Trang Dai Ward showed each other some services and utilities on the VNeID application.
According to teacher Doan Thi My Thao, besides being proficient in using social networks and cashless payments, she does not know anything else. Since the arrangement of administrative units and the implementation of the 2-level Local Government model, hearing many people say that some administrative procedures are now not submitted directly but submitted online, Ms. Thao also wants to learn to serve herself, her family and help those around her when needed. "After learning and discussing with each other, I just found out that some simple administrative procedures such as public services on residence, identity, justice, etc. can now also be initially performed on the VNeID application" - Ms. Thao said.
The Provincial Women's Union notes: 100% of branches and groups in the area ensure annual targets, each branch, group, and association builds at least one Digital Family model associated with implementing the 1+1 Digital Tour Guide model.
In order for cadres, members, and women who are members of digital models to perform well their functions and tasks in supporting and helping members and women improve their digital capacity, the Provincial Women's Union will organize activities to support the improvement of digital transformation capacity and digital skills for cadres, members, and women. At the end of July, the Provincial Women's Union organized a training course on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in union work for key union cadres; branch presidents, deputy branch presidents, and members of the Social Opinion Collaborators Group. The program not only helps union cadres understand the benefits of AI, but also guides them on how to use a number of tools to serve union work and the women's movement.
The Provincial Women's Union also requires grassroots union officials to actively participate in the local community Digital Technology Group, build groups to share knowledge and new technologies for members and women. At the same time, support members and women to effectively use smart devices, software, online public services, electronic payments, etc. in the direction of "holding hands and showing work". Integrate digital skills guidance into branch and group meetings; in which priority is given to members, women workers, the elderly, people with disabilities, the poor, ethnic minorities, rural areas, remote areas.
