A working delegation of the Vietnam Women's Union led by Ms. Tran Thi Thu Ha - Deputy Head of the Department of Supporting Women in Economic Development, Vietnam Women's Union - recently inspected and supervised the work of receiving entrusted loans and supporting the enhancement of women's economic empowerment in Y Tich commune, Chi Lang district.
During the working program, the delegation inspected the actual operation of the savings and loan group with the Social Policy Bank in Nam Lan 2 village, Y Tich commune and inspected the use of loan capital at 2 households borrowing capital from the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development in Giap Thuong village, Y Tich commune.

Promoting the effectiveness of loan capital
According to the report of the Women's Union of Y Tich commune, in the past time, the Women's Union of the commune has coordinated with the Social Policy Bank of Chi Lang district to entrust female members with loans for economic development.
The total outstanding loan balance as of April 17, 2024 in the area is over VND 8.34 billion for 136 households. The monthly interest collection rate of the groups managed by the Women's Union is over 99%, there is no overdue debt or frozen debt; mobilized members of the savings groups to borrow and deposit savings with an amount of VND 242.4 million. The rate of households participating in regular savings of the groups is 95%.
In 2022, the Women's Union of Y Tich commune also coordinated to establish a new loan group with the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development with 16 members...
Through loans from the above two banks, many households in Y Tich commune have had the conditions to invest in production and business development, create jobs and stable income, thereby escaping poverty and improving the material and spiritual life of households.

At the inspection session, after listening to the report as well as discussing the advantages and difficulties in the process of implementing the loan entrustment and supporting the enhancement of women's economic empowerment, Deputy Head of the Women's Economic Development Support Board, Vietnam Women's Union Tran Thi Thu Ha acknowledged the results that the Y Tich Commune Women's Union has achieved in the past time.
At the same time, it is recommended that in the coming time, the Women's Union of Y Tich commune and savings and loan groups continue to propagate, guide and create conditions for members and households to access capital sources in the most convenient way.
