Hoa Binh presents the 8th Party Building Journalism Award 2023

2023 is the mid-term year, which is of great significance in promoting the implementation and striving to complete the goals of the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress and the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan 2021-2025. The provincial press agencies have seriously implemented the leadership, direction and information orientation of the Central Government and the province.

The press agencies have properly implemented their principles and objectives, strictly complied with the provisions of the law on press activities, and clearly and promptly reflected political and current events, culture, socio-economics, national defense and security, and issues of public concern. Thereby, helping Party committees and authorities at all levels to resolve existing problems, limitations, and obstacles at the grassroots level; promoting the role of the press in preventing, combating, and stopping corruption, waste, and negativity.

At the program, the Organizing Committee of the 8th Press Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) of Hoa Binh province in 2023 organized a summary and award ceremony. Accordingly, the award received the attention and response of Party committees at all levels, press agencies in the province and the team of reporters, editors, and collaborators for propaganda work on Party building, creating a ripple effect in society, raising awareness of cadres, party members and people of all ethnic groups in the province about the sense of responsibility for Party building work. The Organizing Committee of the Award received 73 entries from 11 agencies and units.

The works have closely followed the policies and viewpoints on Party building work, vividly reflecting political activities in the Party. Especially the current topical issues, such as: Cadre work; preventing and combating corruption and negativity; outstanding results after half a term of implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress; inspection, supervision and enforcement of Party discipline. Many works have deeply analyzed and evaluated the current situation and proposed important solutions in the work of organizing Party building, preventing and combating corruption and negativity...

There were 23 excellent works selected by the Organizing Committee for awards, including: 1 special prize, 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 15 consolation prizes. The Organizing Committee selected 8 works to submit to the 8th National Press Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) - 2023, in which the 5-part work "Not letting cadres be a minus point of the province" by author Nguyen Duong Lieu, Hoa Binh Newspaper (the work won the special prize of the province) was honored to be awarded the Consolation Prize by the Final Jury.
