On the evening of September 18, Miss Bui Quynh Hoa officially spoke out about the false rumors that have appeared on social media recently. Notably, she posted an announcement from the Hanoi City Police Department's Investigation Police Department, which issued a decision to prosecute a criminal case for defamation that occurred on September 12, 2025.
According to Bui Quynh Hoa, in recent days, many fabricated and slanderous rumors with untrue content have appeared on social networks. Malicious subjects have used offensive and vulgar language to defame the image and severely insult the honor and dignity of the beauty queen from a personal account.
The serious thing is that this false information creates a viral effect, causing many electronic information sites, Facebook accounts, TikTok, YouTube to share it. This makes the matter more serious and causes the online community to misunderstand due to false rumors.
Instead of speaking out immediately, Bui Quynh Hoa chose to work with the competent authorities to protect herself as well as verify and handle the case. She affirmed that she will go to the end of the case to regain her honor.
The beauty queen and her lawyer sent a complaint to the Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency and provided full documents and evidence to the investigation agency.
According to the official announcement from the Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency No. 539/TB-CSHS dated September 18, 2025, this agency has handled the criminal denunciation against Ms. Bui Quynh Hoa accusing Le Huong Ly (born in 1996) of posting and spreading untrue content about Ms. Hoa on Facebook with the aim of seriously insulting the dignity and honor and causing damage to the rights and legitimate interests of Bui Quynh Hoa.
After determining that there were signs of crime, on September 18, 2025, the Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency issued a decision to initiate a criminal case to investigate and handle it according to the provisions of law, based on Articles 56, 57, 145, 146 and 147 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Bui Quynh Hoa requested that electronic information sites, Facebook accounts, TikTok, and YouTube remove articles, images, and videos posted related to this incident. She hopes that everyone will be alert when receiving harmful information on social networks, and need to verify before posting or sharing.
"Posting and sharing fabricated and untrue information that causes public confusion is a violation of the law and may result in criminal liability," the beauty queen warned.
Sharing exclusively with VietNamNet, Bui Quynh Hoa said: "Only today, when I heard news from the police, did I feel more relieved. I was really stressed out because of the attacks."
