Complete preparations for the 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival in 2025

On the afternoon of October 20, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Le Van Su, Huynh Chi Nguyen, Ngo Vu Thang chaired the meeting of the Organizing Committee and sub-committees serving the Ca Mau Crab Festival - 2nd time, 2025.

Ca Mau Crab Festival - 2nd time, 2025 (Festival) has the theme: "Ca Mau Crab: Forest scent - Sea taste". Time takes place from November 16 - 22 at Phan Ngoc Hien Square, Le Duan Street, An Xuyen Ward.

The festival is organized with main activities such as: Opening the festival and awarding prizes for competitions; organizing exhibition space, trade exhibition of crab industry, start-up products, innovation and OCOP; Ca Mau crab culinary space; general trade fair; display and promotion, processing of crab dishes; "Record setting" contest on Ca Mau crab; CamaUP'25 event series - Ca Mau province's Startup Festival in 2025; international conference "Innovation for sustainable development of Ca Mau - Vietnam's sea crab industry"; forum "Ca Mau: Growth driver of the Mekong Delta"; Ca Mau Marathon 2025 - PETROVIETNAM Cup; street parade; amateur music festival; folk games...

For the event “Hello Ca Mau” and communication, promotion of the Festival held in Ho Chi Minh City will take place from November 13-15 with the theme: “Unleashing potential - creating the future”. At this event, there will be activities such as: Conference on promoting investment, trade and tourism ; connecting trade between domestic and foreign buyers with provincial enterprises; exhibition to promote trade, tourism, investment and Ca Mau Crab Festival.

At the meeting, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported on the implementation plan of the activities taking place at the Festival for delegates to give their opinions. Accordingly, delegates proposed to list delegates and businesses inside and outside the province early; determine the benefits for sponsors; display space for booths should have more models of shrimp and salt; arrange a large space for crab food booths...

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su emphasized: The remaining time to prepare for the Festival is very short, so relevant units must quickly agree on the content to focus on coordinating implementation; send the draft of communication work, stage script, and exhibition space to the Steering Committee, Organizing Committee and the Festival Advisory Council to seek opinions for implementation, trying to have it approved by October 30; soon propose a list of delegates participating in the event and a list of mobilizing sponsoring businesses; review the detailed plans of departments and branches on organizing the Festival to sign and issue.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su said that for the "Hello Ca Mau" event held in Ho Chi Minh City, the provincial leaders have worked with the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and have finalized the necessary plans for the organization; relevant departments and branches have proactively contacted the focal points in Ho Chi Minh City to agree on the implementation content as soon as possible.
