Completion of the project to restore and promote the value of the Hai Van Quan national relic

Construction started on December 19, 2021, after 3 years, the project to preserve, restore, and promote the value of Hai Van Quan national relic was completed with a total investment of more than 42 billion VND, each locality contributing 50% from the budget.

According to information at the ceremony, to implement the project, Thua Thien Hue province and Da Nang city have created a typical model of heritage restoration and conservation.

The two localities have coordinated to deploy technology applications (3D), free wifi coverage at tourist attractions to help visitors learn more about heritage values, and promptly update existing services and utilities during their visit to the Hai Van Quan national relic site.

In addition, the two sides have deployed auxiliary items, especially service logistics areas such as parking lots, standard public restrooms and souvenir display spaces for visitors...; coordinated with the Road Management Department (Vietnam Road Administration) to organize traffic on National Highway 1 through Hai Van Quan.

Hai Van Quan has long been praised as "the most majestic pass in the world" thanks to its majestic natural beauty and important strategic position in terms of military .

Located at an altitude of 490m on the Hai Van mountain range, Hai Van Quan is an impressive military citadel architecture, considered one of the most majestic passes in Vietnam. The location of the relic is about 90km north of Hue city center and about 28km south of Da Nang city center.

Hai Van Quan has many cultural and historical values ​​and is also a famous scenic spot. On July 14, 2017, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism recognized Hai Van Quan as a national historical and architectural relic.

This project is considered a priceless common asset, a symbol of the good cooperation between Thua Thien Hue province and Da Nang city. This is also an important foundation for the two sides to continue to coordinate in preserving and promoting the value of relics in the future.
