Phu Lang Commune Farmers' Association promotes its role as a subject in agricultural development and new rural construction.

BAC NINH - In 2 days (September 24 and 25), the Farmers' Association of Phu Lang commune held the 1st Congress of delegates for the 2025-2030 term. This is one of the 2 representative congresses of the Farmers' Association at the commune level in the province. Attending the congress were leaders of the Provincial Farmers' Association, Farmers' Associations of communes and wards in the old Bac Ninh province and 119 delegates representing more than 3,641 farmer members of Phu Lang commune.

Phu Lang Commune Farmers' Association was established under Decision No. 96-QD/HNDT dated July 1, 2025 of the Provincial Farmers' Association Standing Committee, including 15 affiliated branches with a total of 3,641 members.

In the 2023-2025 term, the Farmers' Association of Phu Lang commune will pay attention to organizing and implementing, promptly propagating the Party's guidelines, mechanisms and policies of the State to farmers, especially issues related to agriculture , farmers and rural areas; resolutions related to the tasks and movements of the association, creating consensus, actively participating in merger activities, and rearranging the apparatus in the direction of streamlining, compactness, strength, efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency associated with the 2-level local government model.

The work of building and strengthening the association's organization is carried out regularly, the organization of the association is improved and streamlined, 235 new members are admitted, bringing the total number of members in the commune to 3,641, reaching 89.6% of agricultural households.

The Association regularly launches emulation movements, with 12 groups and 15 individuals being commended at all levels, thereby promptly motivating, creating a ripple effect, promoting association activities, and developing the local socio-economy .

Attention has been paid to training, fostering, and improving knowledge, qualifications, and production and business skills for farmers. In coordination with specialized units, 8 training classes and 3 elementary vocational classes were opened to transfer science and technology to more than 1,000 members.

The movement of farmers competing in production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty continues to be identified as a key movement that is actively responded to by farmer members, contributing to the transformation of the agricultural and rural economic structure. There are 5,800 registered members, of which 5,600 members (83%) have achieved the title of good production and business households at all levels.

Cultural program to celebrate the success of the congress.

Phu Lang Commune Farmers' Association actively promoted and propagated for its members to continue maintaining national criteria on new rural construction, and mobilized farmers to contribute 235 working days worth 67 million VND to participate in building rural infrastructure.

Every year, 100% of farmer member households register, of which 98% of member households achieve the title of cultural family.

The Commune Farmers' Association proactively coordinates with departments and specialized agencies to guide and support members in building and replicating production models applying science, technology, and biotechnology, developing cooperation and linkage models along the value chain, and building 21 OCOP products, of which 18 products have achieved 3 stars and 3 products have achieved 4 stars.

The activities of supplying materials for farmers to develop production have been implemented with interest by the branches, in coordination with companies to supply more than 300 tons of fertilizers on a deferred payment basis to farmers, and to promote the supply of plant varieties and some biological products for production.

In the 2025-2030 term, with the spirit of "solidarity - democracy - innovation - cooperation - development", the Farmers' Association of Phu Lang commune determined the direction of promoting the role of farmers as the subject and center in agricultural development, rural economy and new rural construction, arousing the aspiration to develop a rich, prosperous, civilized and happy country in the new era.

Some specific targets include: 100% of cadres and members are propagandized, disseminated, and educated on the Party's guidelines, policies, laws of the State, resolutions, and directives of the association, especially on agriculture and rural economy. Recruit 200 or more new members; establish 2 new association groups and 1 new professional farmer association. 95% or more of the associations have completed their tasks well and excellently, and no association has failed to complete its tasks. Every year, 60% or more of the farming households register, and 95% or more of the registered households achieve the title of good farmer and business households at all levels. Maintain 70% or more of the households in the Phu Lang traditional craft village area regularly engaged in pottery production...

Speaking at the Congress, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association Nguyen Hoang Trung requested the Farmers' Association of Phu Lang commune to promote its core political role, focusing on further improving the quality and effectiveness of propaganda work on the Party's guidelines and policies; State policies and laws; and programs and plans of the Association at higher levels.

The Congress also heard the announcement of the Decisions of the Provincial Farmers' Association Standing Committee on appointing the Phu Lang Commune Farmers' Association Executive Committee consisting of 25 comrades, the Standing Committee consisting of 7 comrades. Comrade Hoang Van Quan was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Commune Farmers' Association for the 2025-2030 term.
