More than 117,000 poor households and policy beneficiaries of Hai Duong received preferential loans in the 2020 period.

Over the past 5 years, more than 117,000 poor households and policy beneficiaries across the province have received preferential credit loans, helping more than 7,500 households overcome the poverty line.

After 5 years, by the end of March 2025, the total policy credit capital reached 5,555 billion VND, an increase of 62% compared to the beginning of 2020. The Provincial People's Committee has arranged to transfer the local budget to the provincial branch of the Social Policy Bank for lending with a total amount of 492 billion VND, raising the balance of entrusted capital in the locality to 633 billion VND, an increase of 10 times compared to the beginning of 2020.

Regarding credit, the provincial branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies is currently implementing 12 preferential credit programs, with a total outstanding loan balance of VND 5,536 billion, an increase of 61.8% compared to the beginning of 2020, with more than 89,000 poor households and other policy beneficiaries still having outstanding loans.

The average annual growth rate of outstanding loans reached 11.5%. The average outstanding loan was 61 million VND/household, an increase of 23 million VND/household compared to the beginning of 2020.

Over the past 5 years, more than 117,000 poor households and policy beneficiaries across the province have received preferential credit loans. Thereby, contributing to helping more than 7,500 households overcome the poverty line; supporting and creating jobs for 28,000 workers; helping nearly 1,900 students in difficult circumstances to borrow capital to cover their study costs; building 116,000 clean water and environmental sanitation works in rural areas, 870 social housing units; 304 households borrowing capital to create jobs for people who have completed their prison sentences...
