On the morning of January 10, in Cu Kuin district, the Provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district, and the Cu Kuin District Red Cross Society to organize the launching ceremony of "Charity Tet" Spring Giap Thin 2024, and deploy the "Charity Tet" Fair for people in difficult circumstances.
Attending the ceremony were Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross Society Ayun H'Huong; Secretary of the Cu Kuin District Party Committee Phuc Binh Nie Kdam along with representatives of leaders of departments, branches, organizations and hundreds of people in Cu Kuin district.

The "Compassionate Tet" movement in the year of the Dragon 2024 aims to give 25,000 Tet gifts to the poor, people in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable people. The campaign will be implemented from December 15, 2034 to February 4, 2024. The implementation period is from January 20, 2024 to February 4, 2024, of which the peak period will take place from January 25, 2024 to February 3, 2024.

The new feature of the "Compassionate Tet" movement in 2024 is the diversity in the way of organizing Tet activities, Tet fun, and Tet markets designed to ensure the principles: respecting beneficiaries associated with the nation's fine cultural traditions; promoting the support network in the community so that everyone has the opportunity to share and help people, people in difficult circumstances with their abilities and hearts.

At the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross Society Ayun H'Huong called on all cadres, members, volunteers, and Red Cross youth in the province to actively participate in the "Humane Tet" movement with their abilities and hearts. Along with that, the Provincial Red Cross Society also hopes to receive the attention, support, and cooperation of units, businesses, organizations, and kind-hearted individuals in implementing the movement.
In the series of activities "Charity Tet" Spring Giap Thin 2024 and "Charity Tet" Fair, Cu Kuin is the first unit of the province and the pilot unit to implement this program. For the program to take place effectively, the district has deployed "Zero-dong stalls" with many gifts of necessities such as: rice, instant noodles, cooking oil, etc. Along with that, it organizes folk game groups, free haircuts, and calligraphy so that people not only receive gifts but also have fun and entertainment.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Cu Kuin district, Y Ngon Nie, said that the whole district of Cu Kuin currently has 981 poor households, accounting for 3.71% of the district's population, of which poor households of ethnic minorities account for 76%. Recently, with the attention and direction of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, the People's Committee of Cu Kuin district has organized many practical activities to help people in difficult circumstances overcome adversity and rise up in life.
Responding to the "Compassionate Tet" movement launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross , in the coming time, the district will widely deploy to local departments, branches and organizations about the spirit and meaning of the program, at the same time actively mobilize resources, connect the participation and contributions of the community and philanthropists to organize programs to help people in difficult circumstances. During the upcoming Lunar New Year, every positive action, every sharing of love from each person is the hope of the poor and people in difficult circumstances for a full and joyful Tet.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also presented more than 300 gifts, each worth more than 700,000 VND to near-poor households, households in difficult circumstances, victims of Agent Orange, and people with disabilities in the district.
