More than 682 billion VND to build the road connecting National Highway 1 to Son My Industrial Park

Binh Thuan Provincial People's Council has just approved the policy of converting 14 hectares of planted forest to construct a 24km long road connecting National Highway 1 to Son My Industrial Park.

On the afternoon of December 6, at the 29th session of the 11th term, the People's Council of Binh Thuan province approved the policy of changing the purpose of using over 14 hectares of planted forest to other purposes to construct the road project connecting National Highway 1 (from Tan Minh town) to Son My (Ham Tan district).

The project connecting Highway 1 to Son My has a length of about 24km, with a total investment of more than 682 billion VND. Of which, the central budget supports 348 billion VND, and the provincial budget about 334 billion VND.

The route starts at Tan Minh town, passes through the communes of Tan Duc, Tan Ha, Tan Phuc, Tan Xuan and ends at Son My commune (Ham Tan district).

To implement the project, the land clearance of the forest area that needs to be converted to other purposes is nearly 14.2 hectares. The area that needs to be converted is mainly hybrid acacia with more than 3.4 hectares, rubber plantation forest 7.6 hectares, and acacia plantation forest more than 3 hectares.

The project of connecting National Highway 1 from Tan Minh town to Son My commune was approved by Binh Thuan province at the end of 2023.

Once completed, this route will connect traffic in the region, creating momentum for the development of Tan Duc and Son My 1 industrial parks (Ham Tan district), promoting socio -economic development in the South of Binh Thuan province.
