Honda Vietnam organizes "Honda Tree Planting Day - For a Green Vietnam"

ANTD.VN - On January 13, Honda Vietnam (HVN) launched the "Honda Tree Planting Day - For a Green Vietnam" in Ha Nam province. This is one of HVN's activities towards carbon neutrality by 2050 according to the common goal of Honda Motor and the Vietnamese Government.

Accordingly, HVN has coordinated with the People's Committee of Ha Nam province to implement tree planting activities with a total area of ​​15.46 hectares at 2 locations: T1 road and the forest in Thanh Liem district with a total of 10,050 trees of all kinds. This activity will contribute to bringing green landscape and fresh air to the people, and is also a premise for HVN and the People's Committee of Ha Nam province to record the area of ​​trees planted as a basis for granting carbon credits, thereby helping to balance emissions, contributing to the country's common goal in responding to climate change.

Within the framework of the ceremony, on the morning of January 13, Mr. Koji Sugita - General Director of HVN, along with about 160 Honda officers and employees, 120 representatives from departments, branches and sectors of Ha Nam province and a large number of local people joined hands to plant about 2,900 trees (equivalent to 4.46 hectares) on T1 road.

Also in the morning of the same day, Ms. Do Thu Hoang - First Deputy General Director of HVN presented a souvenir plaque to the representative of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province at the forest in Thanh Liem district, acknowledging that about 7,150 trees (equivalent to 11 hectares) had been greened by HVN in January 2024.

With the positive response of all participants and the strong determination to join hands to act for the environment, HVN believes that this will be a premise to help further raise environmental protection awareness among employees, local people and the community.

Previously, on the morning of December 16, 2023, HVN accompanied the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province in the "2024 Tree Planting Launching Ceremony". The activity was deployed by HVN with a total area of ​​8.03 hectares at 3 locations in Vinh Phuc province, namely the Green Park Area - Tay Thien Festival Center, the Eastern belt road of Tam Dao district and the road connecting Dong Dau bridge with Hop Chau - Dong Tinh road with a total of 3,100 trees of all kinds.
