Lien Duong Agricultural Cooperative was awarded the Cooperative Star Award in 2024

On the evening of April 11, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance held the Ceremony to honor typical cooperatives and award the first "Cooperative Star" award in 2024. Lien Duong Agricultural Cooperative (Khanh Duong commune, Yen Mo) is one of 100 typical cooperatives out of more than 31,000 cooperatives nationwide to be honored with the 2024 Cooperative Star award.

Lien Duong Agricultural Cooperative was established in 1980, reorganized under the Cooperative Law 2012 on October 19, 2015 with 686 members. Currently, the Cooperative has built a production chain linked with the purchase of all products for farmers such as chili for export, rice seeds, and high-quality commercial rice.

In addition, the Cooperative also organizes the production of winter crops and valuable plants on an area of ​​45 hectares of fertile land and signs contracts to purchase all products such as carrots, potatoes, sweet corn, onions, Japanese radish, mugwort, etc. Total revenue reaches 6.4 billion VND/year.

The 2024 Cooperative Star Awards Ceremony "CoopStar Awards 2024" aims to recognize and honor cooperatives and cooperative unions with outstanding achievements in production and business activities, actively contributing to the socio -economic development of the country; create images and brands for cooperatives in the process of development and international integration, thereby contributing to promoting the rapid and sustainable development of cooperatives; enhance the role and position of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance system in participating in the development of collective economy and cooperatives.

This time, Ninh Binh introduced 3 units: Sinh Duoc Cooperative (Gia Vien), Trung Son People's Credit Fund (Tam Diep city) and Lien Duong Agricultural Cooperative (Yen Mo) for the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance to vote and award. As a result, Lien Duong Agricultural Cooperative was honored as "Cooperative Star" in 2024, the remaining 2 units received Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance.
