Hue calls on tourists and communities not to eat wild animals

From October 19 to 24, the Forest Protection Department of Thua Thien Hue province organized a communication campaign " Tourism without bushmeat".

This communication campaign is organized with the aim of calling on tourists to Hue city in particular and the community in general not to eat wild meat and use products from wild animals.

This activity also aims to promote the image of nature-friendly tourism, preserve the quintessential culinary culture of Hue, and contribute to building Thua Thien Hue province into a centrally-run city with the criteria of no-bush meat tourism.

The "Tourism without bushmeat" communication campaign in Hue will have a series of organized activities, such as: Flashdance performance, displaying wildlife models, exchange programs, organizing interesting games in which participants will receive attractive gifts...

In particular, the time to organize the display of wildlife models will be extended until the end of 2024.

The "Burmese-free tourism" communication campaign is an event within the framework of the project "Strengthening law enforcement and changing wildlife consumption behavior to protect biodiversity and prevent diseases in Thua Thien Hue province in the period of 2023-2024". The project is sponsored by Wildaid INC (USA) through the non-profit Choice LLC.
