According to a quick report from the Office of the Civil Defense Command of Tuyen Quang province, by 6 p.m. on September 30, more than 1,000 houses in the province were flooded, damaged, and had to be urgently evacuated.

Of these, 700 houses were damaged; 320 houses had to be urgently evacuated; 19 houses were at risk of being affected by landslides. The floods also caused thousands of houses to be submerged, concentrated in the following communes and wards: Tan Long, Nong Tien, Thai Binh , Binh Ca, Yen Son, Thai Hoa, Na Hang, Tan My, Yen Lap, Chiem Hoa, Hoa An, Kim Binh, Luc Hanh, Xuan Van, My Lam, Nhu Khe, Kien Dai, Nhu Khe, Bac Me.

From about 5:30 p.m., in Ha Giang 1 and Ha Giang 2 wards, the Lo River water level rose rapidly, causing flooding on many streets such as Tran Phu, Nguyen Trai, 26/3 Square, etc., affecting people's lives and activities.

It is forecasted that by 3 a.m. on October 1, the water level on the Gam River at Bac Me, Na Hang and Chiem Hoa will be 3-6m above alert level 3. The water level on the Lo River will continue to rise; at Bac Quang station, Vinh Tuy station and Ham Yen station will be at alert level 1 to alert level 2; at Ha Giang station, it will be above alert level 2 to alert level 3; at Tuyen Quang station, it will quickly rise above alert level 2 to alert level 3 (25-26m).

Faced with the complicated situation of floods and rains, the Provincial Civil Defense Command requests: Localities closely monitor forecasts and warnings of heavy rain, the risk of flash floods and landslides to direct specialized departments and offices to strengthen the dissemination of forecasts and warnings on natural disaster prevention and control to people, minimizing damage to people and property of the people and the state;

At the same time, guide people to overcome the consequences of heavy rain, ensure stable life and production of people; deploy shock forces to inspect and review residential areas along rivers, streams, low-lying areas, at risk of flooding, flash floods, landslides to proactively clear the flow of blocked and obstructed areas; organize the relocation and evacuation of people to safe places.
