Expectations from the Party's policies
The Draft Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, has identified the goals for education and training as: Continuing to fundamentally and comprehensively innovate education and training, linked to the requirements of socio -economic development and the labor market. Building a team of education managers suitable for the 2-level local government model. Building an open, interconnected education system, promoting lifelong learning and building a learning society.
The important highlight is the commitment to comprehensive digital transformation. Accordingly, comprehensive digital transformation, popularization and strong application of digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI) in education and training, forming a smart learning environment, lifelong learning. It can be said that this is the "compass" for educational institutions in modernizing teaching methods and career guidance.

This further affirms the role of communication and career counseling from the primary school level must be truly effective and practical. |
In particular, career guidance and orientation work has been raised to a strategic level. That is, promoting the training of a workforce suitable for new occupations; focusing on vocational training for rural workers and workers in ethnic minority areas. Promoting student orientation in general education; organizing well career guidance and job counseling activities. The ultimate goal is to build a workforce "with qualifications, skills, thinking and scientific working methods, meeting the requirements of the scientific, technological revolution and digital transformation".
The Draft Resolution of the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, together with Resolution 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthrough development of education and training, the Draft Law on Vocational Education (VET) amended, including regulations on the Vocational Secondary School model... are solid foundations and important premises to change social awareness about vocational training and cultural learning, helping parents and students have a more correct view of the value of VET.
The implementation of these policies and regulations will have a positive impact on student streaming, especially after secondary school, opening up many learning and employment opportunities for students, while diversifying learning pathways for students. This is a strategic move, helping student streaming become more practical, flexible and humane, in line with the orientation of developing high-quality human resources in the new era.
Currently, Dong Nai has a total of 76 vocational education facilities, including 12 colleges, 7 intermediate schools, 18 vocational education - continuing education centers, 14 vocational education centers, 11 enterprises participating in vocational education activities, and 14 joint training schools.
AI applications in career guidance
Student streaming is no longer a matter of “turning the corner” but of “opening a suitable path for development”, as education managers say. High schools and vocational schools in Dong Nai province have been implementing many positive solutions, focusing on personalization and technology.
At Nguyen Cong Tru Secondary School (Hung Thinh Commune), career guidance is identified as a key task. Mr. Than Truc Diep, Vice Principal of the school shared: “The post-secondary education orientation is not only a learning orientation but also the first step in the career journey. Because, when each student chooses a path that suits their abilities and interests, linked to the practical needs of society, success will come naturally and last longer.”
Nguyen Cong Tru Secondary School has implemented many activities to support career guidance such as: integrating career guidance content into lectures; organizing surveys on interests and abilities of grade 9 students right from the beginning of the year; organizing field trips for students to factories and enterprises. Nguyen Cong Tru Secondary School has gradually applied information technology and AI tools in teaching to create a digital learning environment, helping students to be proactive, creative and develop digital skills - an important factor in future career orientation.
Technology factors, especially AI applications, have been introduced by vocational training institutions as a breakthrough solution.
Mr. Le Thuan, Head of Training Department, FPT Polytechnic College, Dong Nai campus, affirmed: AI is an indispensable tool in career guidance in the digital age. In the context of digital transformation and AI explosion, the education and training sector can apply AI to analyze personal data of learners such as: interests, skills, learning outcomes and personality, thereby proposing learning paths based on data.
Mr. Thuan analyzed that AI solutions that can be deployed include: personalized suggestions to recommend courses and certificates that match career goals; 24/7 consulting chatbots to provide instant career guidance information; forecasting employment trends; comprehensive skill assessment of learners through digital platforms; AI applications in career communication, such as building career simulation videos...
“These solutions help learners access suitable career paths, save time for consulting and better prepare for the labor market,” Mr. Thuan affirmed.
The application of AI and digital transformation in career guidance and streaming is the clearest evidence that Dong Nai educational institutions are gradually concretizing Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW. At the same time, this is also a good way to realize the goals of education and training, including the goal of streaming students stated in the Draft Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress.
