Storm No. 3 ( Yagi ) accompanied by major floods on the river caused serious damage to many people, units and businesses. With the highest effort, the district mobilized resources to support people to overcome the damage, restore, develop production and stabilize life.

Get up quickly after the storm
According to statistics, the storm caused 3 houses to collapse, 138 houses to have their roofs blown off, 15 factories to be severely damaged, 11 roads with 40 landslides, 2 suspension bridges to be destroyed, 5 suspension bridges and spillways to be damaged, power and telecommunication networks to be cut off, 43 irrigation and domestic water dams to be eroded; especially nearly 19,000 hectares of forestry trees to be broken and fallen, directly related to the production of more than 3,400 households and businesses. The storm circulation caused heavy rain and widespread flooding, causing nearly 900 houses to be submerged from 0.5-4m, locally isolating many residential areas in the communes of Nam Son, Don Dac, Dap Thanh, Thanh Lam and Ba Che town; about 250 hectares of rice and crops were affected. The total damage caused by the storm is estimated at nearly 750 billion VND.
Immediately after the storm and floods passed, the district mobilized a total force of over 1,000 people and many vehicles to support house repairs, clear fallen trees, mud, soil, and clean up the environment on traffic routes; develop a plan to allocate funds to repair urgent traffic works, overcome the situation of lost communication and electricity... Mr. Vu Thanh Long, Secretary of the District Party Committee, requested the political system from the district to the grassroots to concentrate with the highest spirit, as soon as possible, to overcome the consequences of the storm on the basis of following the instructions of the province and district with the goal of stabilizing the situation soon and bringing activities back to normal.
The District People's Committee directs specialized departments, offices, and authorities of communes and towns to inspect, review, and make full and accurate statistics of all damages to production, property of people, organizations, businesses, and socio -economic infrastructure works. Based on the statistics, immediately allocate the province's support funds in order of priority. Prioritize people first, absolutely do not let anyone go hungry or cold, or have no place to live. The District quickly overcomes landslides, restores all traffic routes, serves the transportation of goods and daily necessities of people; develops temporary traffic plans for damaged suspension bridges, ensures the safety of the lake and dam systems, and repairs the domestic water supply system for people.
The electricity and telecommunications sectors mobilized human resources, vehicles, and equipment to urgently restore the entire power grid and communications. Educational institutions repaired damaged facilities, ensuring conditions for students to return to normal schooling soon. Medical facilities promptly provided adequate medicine, ensured medical examination and treatment for people, instructed people on how to treat domestic water, treat the environment, and spray disinfectants at houses, schools, and offices flooded after rain and storms...
Economic reconstruction
The District Social Policy Bank proactively reviews and synthesizes the losses of customers who are borrowing capital, promptly proposes policies to support interest rates, defer debt, and continue lending to organizations, individuals, and businesses that have suffered damage due to storms and floods according to the law so that organizations, individuals, and businesses have the conditions to restore production and business.
The district requested the Provincial People's Committee, departments and branches to report to the Government to amend Decree No. 02/2017/ND-CP "On mechanisms and policies to support agricultural production to restore production in areas damaged by natural disasters and epidemics" in the direction of adding enterprises and increasing the support level. The district agreed with banks to extend, postpone, and extend debt, and support interest rates for households and individuals borrowing capital for agricultural and forestry production damaged by storm No. 3. The district has a plan to invest in replacing destroyed suspension bridges to facilitate people's travel, serve production and economic development.

Inspecting the damage situation and the work to overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 3 in the forestry sector in Ba Che district (September 25), Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, affirmed: Ba Che has many new opportunities, to get rich right in the homeland, the district must be determined, get rich from the district's resources. After the storm, Ba Che needs to rise up, rebuild the economy, get rich with its own internal strength. To do this, the district needs to research, propose, and implement a separate project on economic reconstruction. In which, focus on researching, innovating crops and livestock; encourage new ways, new plans, new types of crops, high efficiency, bringing stable, sustainable income, enriching the people and the district.

With the policy of re-establishing the planning of 3 types of forests, restructuring the types of crops in forestry development of the province, the district is facing the opportunity to get rich and rebuild the economy with its own internal strength. |

The commune People's Committee is directing specialized departments and offices to review and assess the extent of damage, and at the same time guide families and businesses to carry out procedures for exploiting, utilizing, and recovering damaged planted forest wood according to regulations. The commune supports connecting with businesses and forest product processing facilities inside and outside the district to purchase wood for people to reduce damage. |
