Duong Minh Chau District: Meeting with retired officials, exchanging experiences in building a new commune-level political system

On June 20, Duong Minh Chau District Party Committee organized a meeting with retired cadres in the district to exchange and share experiences in building a commune-level political system according to a new model.

Attending the event were Mr. Le Anh Tuan - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee; Mr. Dang Thanh Liem - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Ms. Huynh Vuong Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee and former leaders of the district through the periods.

The meeting aimed to express gratitude for the great contributions of retired cadres, and at the same time listen to their sharing and enthusiastic comments in the process of implementing the construction of the commune-level political system associated with the policy of merging administrative units and streamlining the apparatus.

At the meeting, delegates watched the video clip "74 years of formation and development of Duong Minh Chau district" (1951 - 2025) and were informed about some contents on the policy and progress of merging commune-level administrative units, not organizing district-level administrative units, towards building a streamlined, effective and efficient government.

The sharing content focuses on promoting the core role of grassroots Party organizations and improving the operational efficiency of the grassroots political system in the context of changes in administrative boundaries and organizational methods.

On this occasion, retired cadres with extensive practical experience contributed their opinions and shared valuable lessons in leadership and direction at the grassroots level. The opinions focused on the following contents: strengthening the education of historical traditions for the younger generation; continuing to pay attention to fully and promptly implementing policies and regimes for people with meritorious services and those who participated in the revolution; after merging commune-level administrative units, it is necessary to clearly define the scope of areas that used to be safe zones to ensure that preferential policies are implemented to the right subjects and in accordance with regulations, contributing to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of revolutionary cadres and people in former resistance base areas.

Mr. Dang Thanh Liem - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee sincerely thanked the retired cadres for their valuable contributions; hoped that they would continue to promote their exemplary role, actively propagate and mobilize the people to well implement the Party's policies, especially in building a commune-level political system according to the new model. At the same time, continue to accompany and contribute experiences to build a strong Party organization, contributing to the development of Duong Minh Chau homeland to become more civilized and modern.
