Krong Pac District: A household in Hoa Dong commune had its pepper vines stolen by thieves.

At 7:00 a.m. on June 17, Ms. Duong Thi Tuyet, in village 17 (Hoa Dong commune, Krong Pac district), went to visit the garden in village 19/5 (Hoa Dong commune) and discovered that her family's garden had had its pepper vines stolen by thieves.

Through preliminary inspection, 21 Vinh Linh pepper poles planted by the family since 2021 had their vines cut.

The scene showed that the pepper vines were cut about 70 - 90cm above the base. After cutting the pepper vines, the thieves cut off the branches and leaves, leaving the young tips in the garden, taking only the main stem of the tree.

Ms. Duong Thi Tuyet's family is collecting branches and leaves of pepper vines left behind by thieves.

This is not the first time Ms. Tuyet's pepper garden has been vandalized. On May 8, 2025, 28 pepper plants were stolen from this pepper garden. Previously, on the 7th day of the Lunar New Year 2025, her family had 250 kg of dried pepper stolen.

To protect the pepper, coffee, and durian gardens, Ms. Tuyet's family built a B40 mesh fence around the garden, with a locked gate, but thieves took advantage of the late night and heavy rain to climb over the fence and steal pepper vines.

Ms. Tuyet's family's pepper garden has been repeatedly stolen in recent times, not only causing economic damage but also making her family very confused and worried, and hoping that the authorities will quickly find the vandals to protect the property and help people feel secure in production.
