The Binh Thuan - Ninh Thuan Open Off-Road Car - Motorcycle Race, Bau Trang - HTV Challenge Cup 2023 has the participation of nearly 200 domestic and foreign athletes competing in 2 categories: motorbike (cross-country) and 2-wheel drive , 4x4 or AWD cars . In this category, motorbike racing will be divided into 2 categories: professional and semi-professional on a single mixed track of 2.9km. In the car category, there are 2 categories of 2.9km and 12.3km.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Bui The Nhan emphasized: Binh Thuan hosts the National Tourism Year with the theme "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence", so the coordination with agencies and units to organize a series of cultural, sports and tourism events of international, national, regional and provincial scale is very meaningful. Bau Trang landscape was honored to be ranked as a national monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2019 , a place with many potentials and advantages for tourism development. This event , the Organizing Committee hopes to create a spreading influence so that domestic and international tourists and friends know more about the land, culture and scenic spots of Binh Thuan homeland, thereby creating a good effect for the work of stimulating tourism in the province. In particular, Binh Thuan wants to create another interesting tourism product - adventure tourism by car - off-road motorbike on the sand of Binh Thuan.

Off-road motorcycle racing is an adventure sport, for the community of enthusiasts in Vietnam and other countries in the region . Participating in the tournament are racers with extensive experience in racing techniques, with risky cornering moves, with challenging racing tracks such as the Bau Trang sand dunes.

At the opening ceremony, before the start of the second event, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes for the motorcycle competition yesterday (December 1). Accordingly, in the semi-professional category, racer Do Xuan Tiep won the championship, second place went to racer Do Minh Thien, and third place went to racer Hoang Kim Trinh.
