Health examination and consultation for nearly 600 elderly people in Tam Kim and Nguyen Binh communes

On September 27, the Traditional Medicine and Rehabilitation General Hospital coordinated with the Cao Bang Provincial Elderly Association Representative Board and Nguyen Binh Medical Center to organize health check-ups and consultations for nearly 600 elderly people in Tam Kim and Nguyen Binh communes, responding to the Action Month for the Vietnamese Elderly in 2025 and the International Day of Older Persons on October 1.

CKII Nguyen Quynh Anh - Director of Traditional Medicine - Rehabilitation General Hospital ; Representative Board of the Elderly Association; representatives of the leaders of Tam Kim commune, Nguyen Binh commune and doctors, nurses, technicians, and staff of Traditional Medicine - Rehabilitation General Hospital .

Hospital doctors examined and advised on treatment of common chronic diseases in the elderly such as: high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, musculoskeletal disorders, sleep disorders ... Some cases are indicated for ultrasound and electrocardiogram for further diagnosis. Elderly people coming for examination are also given free medicine on the spot.

Sharing at the examination session , Dr. Nguyen Quynh Anh - Director of the Traditional Medicine and Rehabilitation General Hospital said that this is an annual activity of the Hospital to show gratitude to the elderly, people with meritorious services, families of war invalids and martyrs in the province. The program not only demonstrates the tradition of " Respect for the elderly and respect for longevity " of the nation but also helps to detect diseases early, improve the quality of health care for the elderly, and contribute to spreading the message of joining hands for community health."

Along with health check-up activities, the Hospital also organizes propaganda on nutrition, exercise, prevention of cardiovascular diseases, blood pressure, stroke, diabetes; at the same time, provides knowledge on musculoskeletal and respiratory diseases and introduces some traditional medicinal herbs to support the treatment of common diseases. The propaganda is carried out directly combined with leaflet distribution so that people can easily receive and apply it.
