Authorities have mobilized sandbags, bamboo stakes, and motor vehicles for emergency and temporary reinforcement.

At the scene, authorities mobilized sandbags, bamboo poles, and motor vehicles to provide emergency reinforcement and temporarily ensure safe travel for people.

Mr. Hoang Van Minh Chau, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Dien Commune, said: "This is only a temporary solution to limit landslides during the rainy season. In the long term, the commune recommends that Hue City soon allocate funds to build solid embankments at vulnerable sections along the Bo River to ensure stable people's lives."

Currently, the People's Committee of Quang Dien commune has submitted a document to the People's Committee of Hue City, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and the Department of Finance, requesting attention and financial support to promptly repair landslides and subsidence areas, helping people stabilize their lives and travel safely.

In recent years, in the downstream of the Bo River, many weak dike sections and river banks have suffered serious landslides, especially in the villages of Niem Pho, Pho Nam A, Phuoc Yen, Tan Xuan Lai, etc. In early September 2025, two new landslides continued to appear in the section passing through Niem Pho village, eating deep into the concrete road and close to people's houses. Among them, there is a landslide about 120m long, encroaching about 1.2m into the road surface.

In the immediate future, along with the reinforcement, the commune authorities have zoned off dangerous areas, put up warning signs, diverted traffic, and banned cars and heavy vehicles from passing through. According to preliminary calculations, to build a solid embankment system to prevent landslides and subsidence along the Bo River, a budget of up to several tens of billions of VND is needed.
