Launching the golf tournament 'I love Vietnam'

Golf tournament promotes sportsmanship combined with meaningful community activities.

The “I Love Vietnam” Golf Tournament is held on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and towards the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. The program will become an interesting and dramatic playground for golf enthusiasts to have the opportunity to show their talents as well as improve the spirit of physical exercise and sports.

Moreover, the tournament combines fundraising activities for the program “Pride of the National Flag” chaired by Mr. Truong Hoa Binh - former Politburo member, former Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, and the program “Scholarship to support ethnic minority and poor students” founded by Mr. Truong Hoa Binh, managed and operated by Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper.

“ All proceeds from the tournament, after deducting the organization costs, will be contributed to two meaningful community programs that Mr. Truong Hoa Binh and the Lao Dong Newspaper have carried out over the years ,” said Mr. Bui Thanh Liem - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Lao Dong Newspaper, co-Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament.

Accordingly, the Golf Tournament will gather hundreds of professional and amateur golfers to compete in the 18-hole handicap stroke play format. Athletes are divided according to official handicap into 3 different groups at Royal Long An Golf & Villas. This is a new golf course in the Southern region, with impressive and challenging greens designed by legendary golfer Sir Nick Faldo.
