Immediately after the storm and flood, the first floor of Thai Nguyen Provincial Library was still flooded, more than 50,000 books and documents were wet, many computers, electronic equipment and 2 mobile cars were damaged.
In the lobby on the first floor, where there used to be neat bookshelves and computers for information lookup, now it has become a mess. Water flooded the basement, overflowed into the large hall music pit, damaging the speaker system, carpets, tables and chairs; the People's Cinema had flooded sound equipment, wooden doors, and moldy walls.
Carefully reviewing the equipment in the large hall, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuan, a technical staff member of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Cultural Center, said: Immediately after the flood receded, all officers and employees were mobilized to clean, sanitize, and check the equipment to quickly bring the Center back to normal operation. Thanks to the urgency and sense of responsibility, after only a few days, most of the Center's area was cleaned, preparing for cultural and artistic activities to return to serve the people.

Not only provincial institutions, many grassroots cultural houses, places where people live daily, were also heavily affected. At the Cultural House of Group 108, Phan Dinh Phung Ward, the water level was nearly 2 meters high, causing all tables, chairs, speakers, and playgrounds to be damaged. After the storm, local people and local forces, with the support of the army, joined hands to clean up, wash away mud, restore equipment, and quickly restore the community living space.
While cleaning up, Mr. Vu Van Phan, Team Leader of Team 108, said: The cultural house is where people in the team gather, dance, play table tennis, and play chess. The rain and floods have severely damaged the facilities, but we are trying to get them back up and running soon. In just a few days, people will be able to come here to practice dancing and organize other activities.
During the recent storm No. 11, dozens of cultural houses were damaged. With a high sense of responsibility and collective spirit, people joined hands to clean up and make efforts to restore the community space.
It can be said that the cultural houses of the residential groups are the “heart” of the spiritual life of the residential areas. Keeping the lights on after the flood is to maintain the joy and cohesion of the community.
