Phia Pha village currently has 37 households, mainly Dao ethnic people. After two consecutive storms (number 10 and 11), cracks with an average width of about 20cm, stretching more than 250m, appeared behind the residential area. Not only that, the ground under many houses also cracked and collapsed, in some households the ground sank right in the yard and the foundation of the house, putting many houses at risk of collapse at any time.

Mr. Trieu Van An's family house is more than 50 square meters wide, just completed at the end of June 2025, now has many large cracks appearing on both the walls and the floor. In front and behind the house, there are cracks 3-5 cm wide, stretching for dozens of meters. Mr. An said: My family does not dare to live there anymore because they are afraid that the house will collapse at any time. Every time it rains heavily, the family is very confused, just hoping for a safer place to live.

Mr. Trieu Van An's newly built house completed in June now has cracked foundation and walls, and his family does not dare to live there now.

Mr. Dang Phuc Chan, a villager, also said: After storm No. 11, the land at the top of the hill cracked for a long time, some sections were deep and wide, and the risk of landslides was very high. Almost all 35/37 households in the village were affected. People hope that the government will soon arrange a safer resettlement area to stabilize their lives.

The terrain of Phia Pha village is loose and prone to subsidence. The concrete road leading to the village is also cracked and subsided in many places, posing a danger to people and vehicles passing by. Not only in residential areas, cracks also appear on productive land, seriously affecting people's cultivation.
