At the meeting, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Thi Ngoc Loan reviewed the tradition of building and developing the industry. In Dong Nai, from the establishment of the Department of Culture and Information in January 1976, through many mergers and restructurings, until 2008, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai province was officially established, performing the function of multi-sectoral and multi-field state management.

Over the past 80 years, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has always promoted its role on the ideological and cultural front, striving to fulfill its assigned tasks well. Not only has it effectively propagated major events of the country and the province, but the activities of the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" and "Good people, good deeds" have also been promoted, spreading humanistic values. The fields of physical education, sports, tourism, press and publishing, family... have continuously developed. In particular, since the merger of the province and the implementation of the 2-level local government model, the (new) Dong Nai province has a larger and more diverse appearance, adding to the cultural depth of the Southern region.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang acknowledged and praised the results that the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has achieved in the past time; at the same time, emphasizing that, entering a new phase, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism needs to perfect mechanisms, policies and projects to unleash resources for cultural development. In addition, it is necessary to continue to arrange and perfect the streamlined and effective organizational apparatus; promote the preservation and promotion of heritage values, consider investment in culture as investment in people and sustainable development. In addition, it is necessary to make tourism a key economic sector; proactively integrate and cooperate internationally, promote the image of Dong Nai to the region and the world.
