Prosecuted 2 suspects for organizing illegal drug trading and use

On December 28, the Investigation Police Agency of Do Son District prosecuted and temporarily detained Tran Doan Thang (39 years old, residing in Ngo Quyen District, Hai Phong City) and Do Van Hoan (30 years old, residing in Dong Trieu Town, Quang Ninh) to investigate their involvement in the illegal buying, selling and organizing of drug use.

Defendant Tran Doan Thang was prosecuted and temporarily detained by the Investigation Police Agency of Do Son District Police for illegally buying and selling drugs.

Defendants Thang and Hoan were accused of leading illegal drug trafficking and organizing illegal drug use, respectively.

Previously, on December 20, at Anh Quan karaoke bar (in Hop Duc Ward, Do Son District), the Criminal Investigation Police Team on criminal, economic and drug crimes of Do Son District Police caught a group organizing illegal drug use; arrested 10 people, seized many exhibits and evidence related to drug crimes.

On December 21, the Investigation Agency initiated a case of organizing illegal drug use. During the investigation, Do Son District Police determined that the above case had signs of being related to suspects residing in many different locations: Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang , Ho Chi Minh City, An Giang, Quang Ninh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong... The suspects had prepared, discussed, carefully, and had sophisticated tricks.

On December 28, the investigation team arrested Tran Doan Thang on charges of leading illegal drug trafficking and Do Van Hoan on charges of organizing illegal drug use.

Currently, the case is being investigated by Do Son District Police to clarify the related suspects for handling according to the law.
