Prosecution of Deputy Director of Vehicle Inspection Center 35-02D

On January 20, information from Ninh Binh Provincial Police, the Ninh Binh Provincial Police Investigation Agency has just prosecuted and applied preventive measures to prohibit Chu Manh Duc (51 years old, residing in Ninh Khanh Ward, Ninh Binh City), Deputy Director of the Road Motor Vehicle Inspection Center 35-02D Ninh Binh.

The defendant Chu Manh Duc was prosecuted for bribery. The case was investigated and prosecuted by the Ninh Binh Provincial Police since 2023.

Regarding this case, in February 2023, the Ninh Binh Provincial Police Department initiated a criminal case, prosecuted the accused, and temporarily detained Nguyen Sinh Phu (38 years old, residing in Ninh Khanh Ward, Ninh Binh City), Deputy Director of the Road Motor Vehicle Inspection Center 35-02 Ninh Binh, to investigate the acts of bribery and forgery in work.

According to the initial investigation of Ninh Binh Provincial Police, from 2021 until their arrest, the above defendants took advantage of their positions as Deputy Directors of the 35-02D Motor Vehicle Inspection Center to receive money from many car owners to provide fake motor vehicle modification records and illegal inspection certificates.

Initially, the police determined that the amount of money the suspects illegally earned from their illegal acts was nearly 400 million VND. The Ninh Binh Provincial Police Department is continuing to investigate and clarify the case.
