Previously, due to the impact of storm No. 10, this section of the dike was eroded by water for about 20 meters, posing many potential safety risks. In response, the authorities promptly reinforced it with thousands of sacks of soil, planted solid bamboo stakes and built additional embankments on the dike roof to prevent the Red River from rising.

The two dykes of Phu Tho and Lan Dinh, with a length of more than 3 km, are not only a "shield" to protect houses and property, but also ensure safe agricultural production for thousands of households in the Thanh Thinh and Co Phuc hamlets.

* Farmers in Tran Yen urgently harvest rice before storm No. 11

The recent circulation of storm No. 10 damaged over 700 hectares of summer-autumn rice and crops in Tran Yen commune; many fields were flooded, directly affecting production and people's lives.

Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 11, farmers across the commune are focusing on harvesting agricultural products. With the motto “green at home is better than old in the fields”, people have mobilized maximum manpower and machinery to quickly harvest the winter-spring rice area, including the rice fields that have not yet ripened.

At the same time, the area of crops ready for harvest is also collected in time to avoid total loss if the rain and floods continue to cause inundation.
