Checking the implementation of social policy credit in Phuoc Vinh commune

The inspection delegation of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, Tay Ninh Province Branch, worked with the locality.

Also attending were Deputy Director of the Provincial Branch of the Social Policy Bank Nguyen Trong Diep , leaders of professional departments. On the local side, there were leaders of the Party Committee, People's Committee of Phuoc Vinh Commune, representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chau Thanh Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank, entrusted unions, Hamlet Chief and Head of the Savings and Loan Group (TK&VV).

Phuoc Vinh commune was merged from the old Hoa Hiep commune (Tan Bien district) and the old Phuoc Vinh commune (Chau Thanh district) with an area of about ^165km2 , with 12 hamlets and 5,723 households/23,314 people. Chau Thanh Social Policy Bank Transaction Office promptly advised the Commune People's Committee on the unification of the arrangement of the Social Policy Bank's transaction points, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Currently, the commune is implementing 10 policy credit programs with a total capital of about 119 billion VND. Outstanding loans reached about 117.8 billion VND, reaching 99% of the 2025 plan. Outstanding loans decreased by more than 1.1 billion VND compared to before the merger, specifically some programs decreased a lot such as loans for newly escaped poverty households decreased by 212 million VND (currently no longer subject to investment), loans for production and business in difficult areas decreased by 741 million VND (the commune is no longer on the list of communes in difficult areas according to regulations).

However, social policy credit activities after the merger in Phuoc Vinh commune still face many difficulties due to both objective and subjective reasons; some leaders of the socio -political organizations have just taken up their duties so they have not fully grasped the contents and documents of the entrusted acceptance,...

Speaking at the inspection, Member of the Board of Directors of the Social Policy Bank Provincial Branch, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Tran Hai Phu acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and the results achieved by the Chau Thanh Social Policy Bank Transaction Office in general and Phuoc Vinh commune in particular in implementing policy credit.

He requested the Commune People's Committee to continue to pay attention to directing and organizing the effective implementation of programs, completing assigned planning targets; at the same time, step up propaganda so that people can clearly understand and promptly access preferential credit policies. In addition, it is necessary to regularly consolidate and improve credit quality to maximize the efficiency of capital sources, contributing to the goal of sustainable poverty reduction, job creation and improving people's lives./.
