The 6th session of the 15th National Assembly continued this morning.

The 2nd session of the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly will last 8 working days from November 20 to 29. The National Assembly will vote to pass a number of laws and 5 resolutions, and discuss in the hall to give initial opinions on 9 draft laws. Comrade Hoang Trung Dung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ha Tinh will lead the meeting.

According to the second session program, the 6th session, the National Assembly discussed in the hall: Results of monitoring the settlement of voters' petitions sent to the 5th session, the 15th National Assembly. Results of receiving citizens, handling petitions and resolving citizens' complaints and denunciations in 2023. Draft resolution on applying additional corporate income tax according to regulations against global tax base erosion. Reduction of value added tax.

The National Assembly discussed in the hall to give opinions on the Government's reports on: Summary of the pilot organization of urban government model in Hanoi city, Da Nang city and the results of 3 years of implementing urban government organization in Ho Chi Minh City. Listen to work reports of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy ; crime prevention and control work and law violations; execution work; anti-corruption work in 2023.

The National Assembly will discuss in the hall to give its first opinions on 9 draft laws: Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended); Law on Social Insurance (amended); Law on Credit Institutions (amended); Law on Roads; Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety; Law on the Capital (amended); Law on Archives (amended); Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Property Auction; Law on National Defense Industry, Security and Industrial Mobilization.

In addition, after receiving, revising and perfecting, the National Assembly will review and vote electronically to pass a number of laws: Law on Telecommunications (amended); Law on Management and Protection of National Defense Works and Military Zones; Law on Identity Cards; Law on Water Resources (amended); Law on Real Estate Business (amended); Law on Forces Participating in Protecting Security and Order at the Grassroots Level.

According to the conclusion of the National Assembly Standing Committee, after 3 sessions of consideration and comments, the Land Law (amended) still has many contents that need to be further improved, so the National Assembly has not considered and approved it at this session. This is an important law, affecting all aspects of the country's socio-economic life, national defense, security, and environmental protection; playing a central role in the land law system, having a great relationship and influence on the implementation of the provisions of many other laws. Along with that, the Housing Law (amended) and the Law on Credit Institutions (amended) may not be passed at this session.

At the same time, the National Assembly will vote to pass two thematic resolutions: Piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies on investment in road construction; Applying additional corporate income tax according to regulations against global tax base erosion.

The National Assembly will also vote to pass a Resolution on the results of thematic supervision of "the implementation of the National Assembly's Resolutions on the National Target Programs on new rural construction for the 2021-2025 period, sustainable poverty reduction for the 2021-2025 period, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the 2021-2030 period".

The closing session will take place on the afternoon of November 29 and will be broadcast live on television and radio.
