This morning, September 15, Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced the plan to organize the TSA 2026 thinking assessment exam.
It is expected that Hanoi University of Science and Technology will organize 3 rounds of exams for the TSA 2026 exam, on weekends, each round will have 3-4 exam groups, at 30 exam locations. The exam can accommodate about 60,000 candidates.

Accordingly, phase 1: exam date January 24 - 25, 2026; registration period from December 5 - 15, 2025. Phase 2: exam date March 14 - 15, 2026; registration date February 5 - 15, 2026; phase 3: exam date May 16 - 17, 2026; registration date April 5 - 15, 2026.
The content and format of the 2026 TSA exam will be implemented as designed and will remain stable for many years to come.
The test consists of 3 parts: mathematical thinking (60 minutes), reading comprehension (30 minutes) and scientific thinking/problem solving (60 minutes).
These are 3 independent exams, the exam questions will focus on assessing the thinking ability of the candidate in each exam, not directly testing the knowledge of any subject.
The test is in the form of multiple choice tests on computers, and the test results will be valid for 2 years to serve university admissions. Many modern testing technologies have been applied to the test, such as the technology of constructing standardized thinking test questions, bridge theory in the test, and the technology of scoring according to the multi-parameter IRT model...
In addition, the automatic check-in technology according to citizen identification cards is integrated with the personal data management system on the national population database to identify candidates coming to take the exam to thoroughly prevent exam fraud and cheating in exams...
To help candidates better understand the structure and content of the TSA test, familiarize themselves with question types, review instructions, test-taking methods, and analyze illustrative examples, Hanoi University of Science and Technology has compiled and published the "TSA Thinking Assessment Test Handbook".
