Secretary of Phu Ho Commune Party Committee Tran Kim Nhan affirmed: In the 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the Congress of Party Committees of the communes (Phu Luong, Phu Xuan, Phu Ho) before merging into Phu Ho commune (new), the Party Committee, army and people of the commune have achieved important results in all fields. Compared to the beginning of the term, the economic scale increased 1.6 times, reaching 109% of the plan. Services account for 32.2% of the economic structure, contributing to becoming an important economic sector of the commune. Industry and construction account for 39.5% and agriculture, forestry and fishery account for 28.3% of the economic structure. The area of ​​production of high-quality rice varieties is 797 hectares, accounting for 40.3%; the production value per unit area reaches over 90 million VND/ha. The average grain output is 24,522 tons, reaching 103% of the plan.

The whole commune has nearly 700 hectares of aquaculture area with the main form of intercropping; the total annual average catch and aquaculture output is more than 830 tons, reaching 103.8% of the plan. For many years, Phu Ho rice has been voted a typical national rural agricultural product. Phu Luong straw mushrooms and Phu Xuan chicken eggs are prestigious local brand products, favored by consumers.

Phu Ho is located in the urban development area and reserves the expansion of functional space for development of Hue city, the main function is urban development and commercial services. According to Mr. Nguyen Van Chinh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, Phu Ho is a new urban area, developing residential areas, ecological agricultural tourism service areas, community tourism combined with lagoon ecology, is a dynamic urban area contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the locality.

Therefore, building a new urban area in Phu Ho along the road connecting Hue city center - Phu Vang commune is an opportunity to invest in tourism infrastructure, develop services, Tam Giang lagoon tourism, ecological agricultural tourism, community tourism combined with ecology, creating conditions for Phu Ho to become an area with favorable economic development conditions.

The important goal and task of Phu Ho in the new term is to strengthen traffic connections, upgrade the traffic system, especially Provincial Road 3, inter-commune roads, connecting Phu Ho commune with Hue city center and neighboring areas. At the same time, calling for investment, developing logistics, transportation, and warehousing services to serve the city's needs, encouraging the development of commercial centers and points.

“Exploiting the potential advantages of the lagoon system to develop aquaculture in a sustainable direction, building a value chain for farming, processing to consumption... associated with services, developing experiential tourism, lagoon tourism with local cultural experience activities. Prioritizing the development of agriculture in the direction of high quality, organic, VietGAP, associated with the transformation of crop and livestock structure suitable to local conditions, forming large-scale concentrated production areas, linking consumption, developing sustainable economy, increasingly improving the spiritual and material life of the people is the passion and responsibility that the Party Committee and the People of Phu Ho will join hands and unite in the coming time” - Mr. Tran Kim Nhan shared.

Expected

This is the first term after Phu Ho commune was established on the basis of merging three communes: Phu Luong, Phu Xuan, and Phu Ho. According to Tran Kim Nhan, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, to promote its strengths and develop, Phu Ho must build a great national unity bloc, preserve and promote the tradition of solidarity and unity in the entire Party Committee, associated with promoting the spirit of self-reliance, self-strengthening, dynamism, and innovation of the cadres, party members, and people of all walks of life.

In the next 5 years, with many aspirations when the commune is determined to strongly transform itself along with Hue city, the economy will gradually shift from traditional agriculture to services and circular, sustainable agriculture, creating a solid foundation for sustainable development. The criteria for NTM will be maintained and improved in quality, striving to build a commune that meets the standards of "advanced NTM". Social security life will be improved, with the quality of education, health care and job opportunities in the locality, ensuring that all people enjoy the fruits of development.

The implementation of resolutions, regional development plans, investment in strategic routes of the city such as: Phu Ho New Urban Area, the connecting route from Area B - An Van Duong to Phu Vang Commune... will open up many opportunities for rapid and comprehensive development.
