HDBank has just announced an increase in online deposit interest rates for terms from 1 to 5 months. This is the second consecutive time the bank has increased deposit interest rates since the sharp increase of 0.6%/year for terms of 7-11 months in June.

According to the online interest rate schedule just announced by HDBank, the interest rate for 1-2 month term increased by 0.2%/year to 4.05%/year; the 3-5 month term also increased by 0.2%/year, reaching 4.15%/year.

Thus, HDBank officially became the bank listing savings interest rates above 4%/year for all deposits with terms from 1 month. In addition, Bac A Bank , Eximbank, MBV, NCB, VCBNeo, VietBank and Vikki Bank are the few banks listing deposit interest rates from 4%/year for this term.

At HDBank, online savings interest rates for the remaining terms remain the same.

Specifically, the online savings interest rate for a 6-11 month term is 5.3%/year; for a 12 month term is 5.6%/year; for a 13 month term is 5.8%/year.

This is also a rare bank that maintains a deposit interest rate of 6%/year for a 15-month term and the highest interest rate of up to 6.1%/year for an 18-month term.

Meanwhile, online deposit interest rates for 24-36 month terms are only 5.5%/year.

Notably, HDBank does not adjust interest rates for savings products at the counter as well as other savings products.

Currently, HDBank's interest rates for savings at the counter, with interest paid at the end of the term, are still maintained at 3.35%/year for 1-2 month terms; 3.45%/year for 3-5 month terms; 5.2%/year for 6-11 month terms; 5.5%/year for 12 month terms; 5.7%/year for 15 month terms and 5.9%/year for 15 month terms.

The highest interest rate at the counter listed by this bank is 6%/year for 18-month term deposits.

Interest rate at the counter for 24-36 month term is 5.4%/year.

HDBank is one of the few banks that has long maintained a “special interest rate” policy for VIP customers, with the announced rate of 7.7%/year (12-month term) and 8.1%/year (13-month term). To receive this highest deposit interest rate, customers must open a savings account with a minimum balance of VND500 billion, receiving interest at the end of the term.

Thus, along with GPBank, NCB, Vikki Bank, Bac A Bank and VCBNeo, HDBank is the 6th bank to increase deposit interest rates since the beginning of October.
