Lao Cai: Support 100 million VND for families with people killed by landslides

On October 3, the Lao Cai Provincial Red Cross in collaboration with Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup Corporation visited, encouraged and presented 100 million VND in emergency support to the family of Ms. Ha Thi Khang, Ban Na village, Viet Hong commune - a household whose relative died in the landslide.

The support is part of Vingroup 's VND500 billion project for people affected by storm No. 10 (Bualoi). According to regulations, each case of a relative who died or went missing will receive VND100 million in support.

This timely action demonstrates the spirit of mutual love and support, contributing to easing the loss and helping the victim's family have more resources to overcome difficulties.

According to statistics, the flood in Viet Hong commune on September 29 affected 283 households, of which 14 households had their houses completely or partially collapsed, 150 households were flooded, 119 households had their slopes eroded, and 18 households had to be urgently evacuated. Traffic infrastructure and agricultural production were also severely damaged, with a total estimated value of about 30 billion VND.

Currently, local authorities and social organizations are actively implementing relief measures, overcoming the consequences, helping people stabilize their lives soon.
