Attending the conference were representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and 22 enterprises in Tang Loong Industrial Park.

Implementing the Government's policy, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee has selected Tang Loong Industrial Park as the point of conversion from a traditional industrial park to an ecological industrial park. The project to convert Tang Loong Industrial Park into an ecological industrial park approved by the Provincial People's Committee is the basis for departments, branches, localities and enterprises to organize and implement tasks.
According to the plan assigned by the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, the project to convert Tang Loong Industrial Park into an ecological industrial park will be implemented from October 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025.

At the conference, representatives of localities and units discussed the advantages and difficulties in converting Tang Loong Industrial Park into an ecological industrial park. Among them, there were issues raised such as: This is an industrial park with many fertilizer, chemical and metallurgical factories... so the volume of solid waste, emissions is large and pollution backlog needs to be treated. Therefore, converting technology, upgrading factories, installing treatment systems will require large costs and a long time. Along with that, investment in green infrastructure (centralized treatment plants, exhaust gas treatment systems, recycling, circulating water supply and drainage systems) requires large capital and needs preferential mechanisms and loan support... Therefore, businesses propose that the Central Government and Lao Cai province need to have support mechanisms in terms of technology, capital, human resource training... The authorities of Tang Loong and Gia Phu communes propose that the province support the review of land use planning, planning of residential areas, urban areas, and allocation of land funds for forestation to create more green belts for industrial parks.

To successfully convert Tang Loong Industrial Park into an ecological industrial park, it requires the participation of all levels, sectors and local authorities, especially the joint efforts of the business community participating in production and processing activities here.
Tang Loong Industrial Park was established under Decision 601/QD-UBND, dated March 15, 2011, with a planned area of 1,100 hectares, of which industrial land is 833.43 hectares, and the current occupancy rate is 89.58%. Up to now, it has attracted 28 investment projects with a total investment of over VND 22,000 billion. The production value in 2024 will reach approximately VND 20,000 billion (accounting for about 43.6% of the industrial production value of the whole old Lao Cai province); in the first 9 months of 2025, it will be about VND 18,400 billion, reaching 77% of the yearly plan. Creating jobs for over 5,500 workers.
