According to statistics, the whole province has supported the construction and repair of 1,037 houses for people with meritorious services, 19,855 houses for poor and near-poor households, and 5,939 houses for households affected by natural disasters, storms and floods...
The total resources mobilized for the program reached more than 1,458 billion VND. Of which, the state budget accounted for about 29.2%, including more than 221 billion VND from the central budget and more than 204 billion VND from the local budget.
The rest is from social mobilization, with over 283 billion VND in cash and nearly 749 billion VND converted from contributions from the community, organizations, businesses, clans and people in money, materials, labor days...
The housing support movement has spread widely throughout the province, becoming a beautiful symbol of the spirit of “helping each other”. Many creative models and approaches have been formed from the grassroots, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc, improving the quality of social security and sustainable poverty reduction.
The successful mobilization of more than 70% of socialized resources to build houses for policy beneficiaries and people in difficult circumstances not only affirms the endogenous strength and spirit of "mutual love" of Lao Cai people, but also creates a solid foundation for the province to continue effectively implementing poverty reduction and sustainable development goals in the coming time.
