According to the direction of the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, the Red River Festival 2024 will be postponed to 2025. This decision aims to adjust the scale and improve the quality of activities within the framework of this festival.

Specifically, activities within the framework of the festival such as the opening ceremony, art programs, fireworks, cultural and culinary experiences of ethnic groups in Lao Cai province and provinces along the Red River (Vietnam) and Hong Ha district - Yunnan province (China) will not take place in 2024 as originally planned.

Previously, the plan to organize the Red River Festival was planned by Lao Cai province from November 7 to 10, in which the opening program was expected to take place at 8:00 p.m. on November 9 at Lao Cai City Central Square.
