Lam Kinh Festival 2025 is organized on a provincial scale, at Dragon Court of Lam Kinh Special National Monument ( Lam Son Commune , Thanh Hoa Province).
This is a meaningful activity to commemorate and pay tribute to national hero Le Loi, the Le kings, generals and people who made great contributions to the cause of building and defending the country; at the same time, arouse national pride, promote cultural traditions, and aim to build Thanh Hoa into a destination "rich in identity - rich in heritage values".
This year's festival takes place from October 12 to 14 (August 21 to 23 of the lunar calendar), consisting of two parts: the ceremony and the festival.

The main ceremony will be held on the morning of October 13, 2025 (August 22 of the lunar calendar) at Dragon Court, Lam Kinh Main Hall.
Key activities are held at Lam Kinh National Special Relic Site, located in Lam Son and Kien Tho communes.
Before the main ceremony, there was a procession of King Le Thai To's palanquin and Trung Tuc Vuong Le Lai's palanquin from the temple to Lam Kinh Palace yard, performed by the sacrificial team and the procession team of Lam Son and Kien Tho communes. This ritual recreates the ancient royal culture, expressing respect and gratitude to the two founding heroes of the Le dynasty.
Within the framework of the ceremony, the Organizing Committee will hold an incense offering ceremony at the following relic sites : Temple of King Le Thai To, tomb of King Le Thai To, Thai temples at Lam Kinh special national relic (Lam Son commune); Temple of Trung Tuc Vuong Le Lai (Kien Tho commune); Thai temple of Hau Le Dynasty and Le Loi monument (Hac Thanh ward); and localities with temples to worship the founding fathers of the Le dynasty.
At temples, shrines, and tombs in the relic site, the Thanh Hoa Center for Historical Research and Heritage Conservation will organize ceremonies on October 12 and 13 (August 21 and 22, At Ty year).
In addition, the incense offering ceremony in memory of Lady Hang Dau will take place solemnly on the top of Lam Son mountain on October 14 (August 23 of the lunar calendar).
The festival part of Lam Kinh Festival 2025 will bring a jubilant and bustling atmosphere with many attractive cultural, sports and tourism activities: games, folk performances, traditional festival dances; unique ethnic art performances; display and introduction of cultural and historical values of Lam Kinh Special National Monument.
These activities are held throughout before, during and after the festival, contributing to creating a unique cultural space imbued with Lam Kinh culture, both intimate and solemn.
Lam Kinh Festival is associated with Lam Kinh Historical Relic Site, a place where the spiritual energy of mountains and rivers converges and is also the hometown of National Hero Le Loi. In 1433, after King Le Thai To passed away, his body was brought back to Lam Kinh for burial. Since then, temples and shrines were built, becoming the ceremonial center of the Later Le Dynasty.
According to “Viet Su Thong Giam Cuong Muc”, right after Le Thai To passed away, “the mandarins who followed him returned to Tay Kinh to build Lam Son Temple”. In April 1434, King Le Thai Tong continued to send “Huu Boc Xa Le Nhu Lam to Lam Kinh to build a temple to worship Thai Mau”.
Every few years, the king and his courtiers held a ceremony at Lam Kinh to commemorate Le Loi's founding merit.
The worship ceremonies at that time were organized according to royal rituals, solemn and on a large scale, with the ceremonial music "Binh Ngo pha tran" (Binh Ngo pha tran), "Chu vassals lai trieu" (Viceroys come to the court), along with martial dances and literary music expressing pride in victory and peace .
Regarding the festival, "Dai Viet Su Ky Toan Thu" also recorded: Emperor Le Thai Tong "remembered the merits of his predecessors and composed the Binh Ngo dance", which was performed at banquets and ceremonies, expressing gratitude and national pride.
Through the vicissitudes of history, the Le dynasty declined, and Lam Kinh temple was once abandoned. It was not until the early 20th century that Lam Son villagers rebuilt the temple on the old ground, worshiping King Le Thai To, Le Lai, Nguyen Trai and Princess Bach Y.
Since then, traditional sacrificial rituals have been gradually restored and passed down through many generations, becoming a characteristic of Lam Kinh festival today, both bearing the appearance of a royal court and imbued with folk spirit.
Lam Kinh Festival 2025 is not only an occasion to commemorate the merits of National Hero Le Loi and the ancestors of the Le Dynasty, but also contributes to enriching the cultural identity of Thanh land, affirming the position of the special national relic Lam Kinh in the flow of national history.
This is also an opportunity for Thanh Hoa to promote the image of the land of "spiritual land and talented people" to tourists, while raising awareness of preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage in the period of integration and development.
