Hanoi Lotus Festival 2024 promises many attractions

According to information from the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, it is expected that on the evening of July 12, 2024, the Department will coordinate with the People's Committee of Tay Ho District and other units to organize the opening ceremony of the Hanoi Lotus Festival and introduce OCOP products associated with the culture of the northern mountainous provinces in 2024.

The program will include: the opening ceremony of the festival; honoring the coordinating units, sponsors, and ambassadors participating in the festival; awarding the prizes for the photo contest "Beauty, Ao Dai and Lotus", especially the semi-realistic art program "Story of Lotus".

Hanoi Lotus Festival 2024 promises to be very exciting.

Within the framework of the festival, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will host the OCOP product introduction event associated with the culture of the northern mountainous provinces. The event will last from July 12 to 16, 2024 at the Tay Ho Cultural and Creative Space.

According to Nguyen Van Chi, Deputy Chief of the Hanoi New Rural Area Coordination Office, the event will include 100 standard booths displaying OCOP products and regional specialties; event decoration areas; regional cuisine areas; and an experience area for lotus products (paintings, photos, lacquer, fabrics, poetry from the past to the present).

In addition, there will be an exhibition area to introduce and demonstrate products: lotus flowers, lotus silk, lotus tea, lotus sticky rice, lotus rolls, lotus dishes, lotus decorative products, lotus handicrafts; displaying representatives of some lotus varieties from regions across the country and some precious lotus varieties of Vietnam and Hanoi...

Within the framework of the upcoming event, there will also be the inauguration ceremony of the OCOP product introduction and sales center in Tay Ho district - Trinh Street; the opening of the Lotus installation art space exhibition, the Lotus photo exhibition in Vietnamese life; the music night "Trinh Cong Son and friends"...

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Chi, through the series of events, Hanoi City aims to promote and honor the beauty and cultural values ​​of Thang Long - Hanoi, of the West Lake land, of "Lotus" - the flower symbolizing the spirit and identity of the Vietnamese soul.

This is also a trade promotion activity to strengthen links, production and consumption, exchange and share experiences of Hanoi lotus products with provinces and cities across the country; an opportunity to promote and stimulate tourism , and arouse the potential for developing OCOP products of localities...

 

The 2024 Hanoi Lotus Festival is an activity to concretize Resolution No. 09-NQ/TU of the Hanoi Party Committee on Developing Cultural Industry in the Capital; Plan No. 88/KH-UBND of the Hanoi People's Committee on organizing activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024); celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Hanoi Agriculture and Rural Development sector (November 30, 1954 - November 30, 2024); welcome the 18th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi for the 2024 - 2029 term.
