Responding to Dan Tri reporters this afternoon (August 12), the leader of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that this unit will carry out the opening ceremony in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and in accordance with local conditions.

Also according to the viewpoint of the Department of Education and Training leaders, the opening ceremony is a festival to bring children to school. This is the first day that students of the first grades meet and get acquainted with their teachers and school, so it is necessary to go to school.

"Students can attend the opening ceremony at school with their teachers before the live broadcast or watch it on a screen. This needs to be considered and calculated, after which the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will have specific instructions for schools for this special opening ceremony," said a representative of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.

Regarding the holiday schedule, according to the guidance of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the 2025 National Day holiday for officials, civil servants and employees of the Department of Education and Training; kindergartens, primary schools, junior high schools, high schools, vocational education - continuing education centers, and intermediate schools will be off for 4 consecutive days, starting from August 30 (Saturday) to September 2 (Tuesday).

For units that do not have a fixed Saturday and Sunday off schedule every week, the actual situation of the unit will be used to arrange a suitable off schedule.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training noted that during the holiday, units need to strictly direct and protect agencies and schools; closely coordinate with local police to ensure absolute safety of facilities, equipment, fire prevention and fighting...

Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a plan for the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year. Specifically, this year's opening ceremony will be very different, and will be held at the National Convention Center, Hanoi, at 8:00 a.m. on September 5.

The event was broadcast live on VTV1 and connected online to all educational institutions nationwide, from kindergarten to university.
