Lewis Hamilton moves to Ferrari from the 2025 F1 season

(NLDO) - Lewis Hamilton will move to compete for Ferrari after spending most of his career competing for Mercedes.

Hamilton's contract with Mercedes runs until the end of the 2025 season, but the seven-time F1 champion has decided to move to a new destination.

A new contract with Ferrari will be announced soon as negotiations between the Italian team and Hamilton are coming to an end. In mid-2023, when news of Ferrari approaching Hamilton broke out, the 39-year-old decided to sign a 2-year contract extension with Mercedes, a contract worth 100 million pounds.

Although the contract extension is valid for 2 years, Hamilton has requested an additional clause allowing him to leave the team 1 year early without compensation.
