Joint venture of 6 contractors won the bid package worth over 916 billion VND at Long Thanh Airport

Vietnam Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (VAECO) has just announced the results of the contractor selection for package No. 6 - design, supply, installation and construction (EPC) of the Project of Investment in construction and business of aircraft maintenance services No. 1 at Long Thanh International Airport (airport).

Accordingly, the consortium of 6 contractors including: Dai Dung Commercial Construction Mechanical Joint Stock Company; Dong Anh Licogil Mechanical Joint Stock Company; Fecon Joint Stock Company; Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 2; General Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company and Cong Tien Industrial Engineering Company Limited won the bid with a price of over 916 billion VND. The implementation period of the package is 13 months, the type of lump sum contract.

Previously, on June 15, the No. 1 Aircraft Maintenance Service Investment and Construction Project at Long Thanh Airport was also started. The No. 1 Aircraft Maintenance Service Investment and Construction Project was implemented by VAECO on a land area of ​​over 45,500 m2, with a total investment of over VND 1,100 billion in phase 1.

This is an integrated aviation engineering complex, including a hangar capable of simultaneously maintaining 2 wide-body aircraft (code E) and 2 narrow-body aircraft (code C), along with equipment workshops, technical areas, material warehouses and auxiliary systems. The minimum designed maintenance capacity is 250 thousand Mhrs/year, expected to serve 120-150 aircraft maintenance trips/year. The project is expected to be completed at the same time as Long Thanh Airport goes into commercial operation.
