On the afternoon of March 12, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (HCMC) held a conference to announce and hand over decisions to establish and arrange affiliated units.

Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation merged the Organizing Committee and the Office of the Inspection Committee into the Organizing and Inspection Committee, with Mr. Truong Hong Son as the permanent Deputy Head. At the same time, the unit also merged the Legal Policy Committee, the Propaganda Committee and the Women's Committee into the Professional Committee of the City Labor Federation.
While waiting for the appointment of deputy heads, the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation assigned Ms. Le Thi Kim Thuy, Vice President in charge of the Inspection Organization Committee; Mr. Pham Chi Tam, Vice President in charge of the Professional Committee; Mr. Phung Thai Quang, Vice President in charge of Finance; Ms. Le Thi Diem Ngan, Deputy Chief of Office in charge of the Office.
The unit decided to establish the Party Agencies' Trade Union (including 30 grassroots trade unions, with about 6,901 union members), with Mr. Cao Van Thang as Chairman; the People's Committee's Trade Union (113 grassroots trade unions with about 49,498 union members) with Mr. Luong Tuan Anh as Chairman.

The Trade Union of the City's Industrial and Export Processing Zones remains unchanged.
The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation announced the dissolution of 12 grassroots trade unions from April 15, including the Civil Servants' Trade Union, the Department of Transport Trade Union, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Trade Union, the Health Sector Trade Union, the Education Trade Union, the Textile and Garment Trade Union, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Grassroots Trade Union, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Grassroots Trade Union, the Ministry of Health Grassroots Trade Union, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Grassroots Trade Union, the Central Trade Enterprises Trade Union in Ho Chi Minh City, and the Ho Chi Minh City Trade and Service Public Enterprises Trade Union.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vo Khac Thai, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, emphasized that the establishment and rearrangement of the committees received high consensus from the Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation.

"The streamlining from 7 to 4 committees aims to improve the efficiency of the city's trade union activities and enhance care for union members and workers. I hope that the agencies will soon deploy the work and complete the organizational structure to promptly carry out activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and Workers' Month 2025, while further improving the work of caring for workers' lives," said the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labor.
