Long Xuyen improves the quality of Party cell activities

Implementing Directive No. 50-CT/TW of the Secretariat and Plan No. 24-KH/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on continuing to innovate and improve the quality of Party cell activities in the new period, the Standing Committee of the Long Xuyen Ward Party Committee has developed a specific plan, suitable to the practical situation of the locality, to create a clear change in the awareness and actions of cadres and Party members.

According to Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Long Xuyen Ward Party Committee Vo Thi Xuan Kieu, on the basis of closely following the direction of the superiors, the Ward Party Committee focuses on promoting the exemplary role of the head of the Party Committee and Party organization, thereby raising the sense of responsibility of cadres and Party members about the purpose, meaning and importance of innovating Party cell activities. The goal is to improve the quality of activities in terms of content, form and effectiveness, ensuring the leadership, education and combativeness of the Party cell; contributing to building a team of Party cell secretaries and Party Committee members with strong political will and good management capacity, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

According to the plan, 100% of the Party cells under the ward conduct regular meetings on the 3rd of every month; organize thematic meetings at least once a quarter. The rate of Party members attending meetings is ensured according to regulations; there is no situation where Party members are absent without reason or absent with reason more than 3 times in a row in a year. Every year, strive to have over 90% of grassroots Party organizations and Party members classified as having completed their tasks well or better.

Promoting the role of setting an example, the Party Cell of the Long Xuyen Ward Party Committee Office is a typical unit in political and ideological education , regularly and promptly grasping the ideological developments of cadres and party members. Mr. Truong Thanh Tri - Party Cell Secretary said: "Along with regular activities, the Party Cell organizes thematic activities, associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style of diligence, thrift, integrity, uprightness, impartiality; on Party building, building the political system; on educating revolutionary traditions, tasks of developing localities, agencies, and units. The thematic activities are discussed in depth, proposing tasks and solutions with high feasibility, thereby contributing to building a team of cadres, civil servants, and workers of the Party Committee Office who are dynamic, creative, good consultants, and good service".

“To improve the quality of Party cell activities, first of all, the Party Committee, Party organization and each cadre and Party member must deeply understand the meaning and importance of Party cell activities, considering them as a political command. Party cell activities are not only a place to implement the Party's policies and resolutions into practice, but also an environment to train political qualities, ethics, lifestyle, strengthen internal solidarity, and closely connect with the people. The content of the activities must be carefully prepared, practical, and close to the practical tasks of the Party cell; promptly detect and resolve difficulties, obstacles, and new issues arising from the grassroots level,” Ms. Vo Thi Xuan Kieu emphasized.

The ward Party Committee also requires the Party cell secretary and Party committee members to strictly implement the principle of democratic centralism, promote leadership, education and combativeness in Party cell activities; listen to, respect and accept the opinions and contributions of Party members; protect Party members who are outspoken in their fight against signs of degradation, "self-evolution", and "self-transformation". Resolutely overcome the disease of achievements, deference, avoidance and fear of conflict; proactively detect and promptly handle arising ideological problems, and build a united and united Party cell.

Each cadre and party member, especially those holding leadership and management positions, need to uphold the spirit of responsibility, self-awareness, open-mindedness, proactively report on the results of assigned tasks, frankly contribute ideas, criticize and self-criticize for mutual progress. The ward Party Committee focuses on summarizing and replicating new models and effective methods, evaluating the implementation of the "Four Good Party Cell" model, and at the same time encouraging the immediate superior Party Committee to attend, monitor, evaluate and classify the quality of Party cell activities.

The innovation of Party cell activities in Long Xuyen ward not only aims to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations but also contributes to the successful implementation of the resolution for the 2025-2030 term and building a clean and strong political system in the new period.
