Because there is no more rain in the area and surrounding areas, the water flow to the dam has also decreased, the water color in the lake is no longer cloudy yellow and has turned light yellow.

“Since the incident, the whole commune has not recorded any damage to people, property or crops. Although the water level has decreased, the People's Committee of the commune continues to monitor and supervise the scene to promptly detect signs of cracks and breaks on the dam line, report to the authorities according to regulations; continue to coordinate with relevant units to handle and overcome the incident to ensure the safety of people's lives and property", the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Tien commune added.

Previously, at about 1:30 p.m. on October 7, 2025, due to the impact of storm No. 11 and prolonged heavy rain, at Bac Khe 1 Hydropower Plant (Tan Tien commune, Lang Son province), a concrete slab broke at the water intake with a length of 4-5 m, depth of 3-4 m, along with the collapse of the plant's central control room and damage to many operating equipment.
