Previously, at about 1:30 p.m. on October 7, 2025, due to the impact of storm No. 11 and prolonged heavy rain, at Bac Khe 1 Hydropower Plant (Tan Tien commune, Lang Son province), a concrete slab broke at the water intake with a length of 4-5 m, depth of 3-4 m, along with the collapse of the plant's central control room and damage to many operating equipment.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Lang Son province, immediately after the above incident occurred, Lang Son province established working groups to inspect the situation, directed local authorities at all levels, people and owners, management and operation units of hydropower projects; proactively implemented plans for residential safety and plans to respond to emergency situations.
The functional forces coordinated with the Commune Civil Defense Command to proactively and urgently notify through the media to the villages and surrounding areas of the affected communes of Tan Tien, That Khe, Trang Dinh, Khang Chien and Quoc Viet to coordinate with the authorities to notify the people to promptly overcome the incident, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.
