Notes when implementing science and technology tasks

The Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City has just held a conference on "Guiding the implementation of science and technology tasks using the state budget of Ho Chi Minh City".

At the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Suong, Acting Head of the Science Management Department (Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology) pointed out some common mistakes made by project managers, such as the lack of information in the published products of the department and noted that project managers need to post information about the approved project at the host organization and make a plan to select contractors (if any). The Department of Science and Technology will not settle the payment for the bid packages that are not implemented in accordance with the content of the contractor selection plan approved by the department, before receiving the department's approval for adjustment.

According to the guidance on preparing documents and settling the budget for implementing scientific and technological tasks from the Science and Technology Development Fund, the host unit submits the settlement documents 30 days before the appraisal and acceptance organization. After receiving the evaluation results from the Appraisal and Acceptance Advisory Council, the management unit finalizes the data according to Form No. BM-KHTC-04 and sends it to the host unit for confirmation. The host unit will send it back no later than 5 days and the management unit will make the settlement no later than 5 days.
